With her bag filled with jars and bags, containing all kinds of odd ingredients, and with her cauldron in her arms, a recently borrowed book sticking out of it, the Gryffindor-girl hurried down the corridor, searching for a place she could be alone. She didn't exactly want to be disturbed…
Even if potions was one of her better subjects Freya would rather not fail at this; she needed any lift on her grades she could get…

Finally finding an abandoned classroom she sneaked inside and after carefully closing the door she sat down in the middle of the floor. Putting the cauldron aside she pulled out the book and opened it at a marked page, frowning at the two pieces of parchment she'd used as a bookmark. It had originally been a copied list of the ingredients she needed, but when she had gone through it at breakfast Gage had tried to snatch it away but only succeeded with ripping the list in two… Smiling at the memory and how they both had laughed at the whole thing the young Gryffindor began to once again check the list and place the content of her bag in a line in front of her, nodding as she could conclude that she indeed had everything;

Mix together;
A chip of gold
A pinch of sage
A drop of charged witch's saliva (you can use your own saliva)
A smooth rock obtained from a river bed
Half a cup of rain water
A tea spoon of honey
A piece of tree bark such as witch hazel
A drop of vanilla
A drop of amber oil
A pinch of ginger
A pinch of table sugar
A handful of chocolate chips.
(Adding another body fluid will enhance the potency of it)

Placing the small magical fire under the cauldron she read the instructions of the book and did her best to follow the instructions precisely (the very thing that helped her in this subject). First the rainwater, the base of it, together with the vanilla and the amber oil.
And just as one could see the steam she added the gold; a tiny splinter from the galleon she had blown up just for this (and after cleaning up she for sure had pieces for the whole class…), the river-rock (that she had ventured out to find herself in one of the small rivers that flowed out in the Black Lake) and the ginger, stirring it three times counter-clock-wise.
Once it was all boiling properly she removed the fire and added the chocolate, the saliva (with her own it was half-way to be a charged witch's, right?) and the witch hazel, this time stirring two turns clock-wise.
Then she would only have to wait for the steam to settle before adding the sage and the sugar, and just for the added effect she used a needle to get a few drops of blood.

All she had to do now was to wait until it was at finger-temperature before she could filter it, stirring it one turn counter-clock-wise every fifth minute. Using the time to clean away the left-over ingredients she then pulled out the white linen-towel from her pocket and carefully placed it down into and clean empty jar, tying the edges over the side of the jar, so all the things like the rock and the bark would end up in the fabric without having the towel falling down into the jar completely.

Carefully checking the time to make sure she did not make a mistake now when she was almost done Freya had to wait a half hour until the slowly cooling cauldron let the potion get cold enough, but in the end she could empty its content down into the towel and the jar. Lifting up the fabric and letting the last drops fall into the jar she then placed the bundle in the cauldron. Putting the lid on the jar and making sure it was stuck tight se could gather up her things and get back to the dorm. It was a bit of a hassle carrying the bag, the book (which she now had to keep under her arm), the jar of potion, as well as the still dirty cauldron. She could just hope that no idiot like that Elliot Karm would make her drop something until she got back…
There, one of the assignmets for Potions is done! I hope it'll do...
(and no, I did not make up the recipe myself, I found it here; [link] )
